Rubaica Jaliwala

Dr. Rubaica Jaliwala is a social scientist, trainer, and educational consultant working at the intersection of youth, film and culture. Her research and practice focus on diversity, anti-discrimination and anti-racism. With extensive experience in international cooperation, she designs and leads innovative projects and workshops that foster intercultural dialogue, human rights education and transformative participation.

From 2011 to 2022, she served as Programme Officer at the ICYE International Office in Berlin, overseeing the development and implementation of EU-funded international voluntary service and educational projects centred on diversity, intercultural learning, anti-racism, human rights and related fields.

Since 2024, she has been a member of Diversity Kartell, a consulting agency that designs and supports diversity-oriented change processes and provides expert guidance on a wide range of diversity and (anti-)discrimination issues.

Her experience in the cultural sector — including work at the Goethe-Institut Mumbai and Berlinale Talents (Berlin International Film Festival) — has enriched her professional expertise through the conception and delivery of cultural programmes as well as editorial work. With her interdisciplinary educational background in social sciences, pedagogy, and psychology, and a doctorate on the anti-bias approach, she brings a solid theoretical foundation to her practice-oriented work, enabling a multifaceted approach to societal issues and diversity development.

She is also an author, translator, and editor of academic and literary works, offering services for publications, magazines, online archives, and books — bridging language and culture to make perspectives accessible to diverse audiences.
